StimTracker Duo/Quad

StimTracker Duo/Quad

Cedrus
Precision Event Marking for Multimodal Research

StimTracker by Cedrus is a cutting-edge event marking device designed to enhance the accuracy and synchronization of biometric data in behavioral and neuroscience research. By autonomously detecting the onset of various stimuli and responses, StimTracker ensures precise timing without relying on operating system delays, making it an indispensable tool for researchers utilizing EEG, eye tracking, fNIRS, and other physiological recording systems.

StimTracker Models

  • StimTracker Duo:
    • Detects visual, auditory, and keypress events.
    • Supports two simultaneous outputs.
  • StimTracker Quad:
    • Includes all Duo features.
    • Adds detection of vocal responses and external TTL events.
    • Supports four simultaneous outputs.

Included Accessories

All StimTracker systems come with:

  • One white light sensor
  • One black light sensor
  • Audio cable
  • USB cable
  • Power supply
  • m-pod adapter

System Features

  • Autonomous Event Detection: StimTracker independently detects the onset of visual stimuli (via included light sensors), auditory stimuli, keypress responses, and, in the Quad model, vocal responses and external TTL events.
  • Ultra-Low Latency: With input-to-output latencies as low as 0.01 milliseconds for light sensors and under 0.05 milliseconds for audio and voice key inputs, StimTracker ensures near-instantaneous event marking.
  • Multiple Output Channels:
    • Duo Model: Supports two simultaneous outputs.
    • Quad Model: Supports four outputs, allowing synchronization across multiple recording devices.
  • Versatile Connectivity: Compatible with a wide range of biometric recording systems through the use of m-pod adapters, including but not limited to Brain Products, EGI, Tobii, NIRx, and Neuroscan.
  • Advanced Firmware Capabilities:
    • Asynchronous Output: Enables software to send commands without waiting for pulse completion.
    • Time-Stamped USB Output: Provides precise timing information for event markers.
    • Signal Filtering: Customizable filters to handle various signal types.
    • Pattern Generator & Scheduler: Allows for the generation of periodic pulses and scheduled event markers, facilitating complex experimental designs.
  • Software Integration: Offers jitter-free performance with software like SuperLab 6, PsychoPy, and Cedrus-provided C++ and Python libraries. Compatible with E-Prime and Presentation with minimal latency
